Coming Up On 2700 Miles. What Do I Do!!
OK everyone I have had my Coupe for a couple of months now and I am almost at my 2700 mile mark. The question now is what do I do about maintenance. I was not offered by my dealer a free first serviceing so I think they are going to kill me pricewise if I bring it in to them. Would everyone recommend me bringing it to Infiniti to have it serviced or can I do just as well with my personal mechanic. What servicing needs to be done on this very first checkup on my newborn...hehe. I know I need to change the oil of course but is there really anything else that needs to be done that only Infiniti would have a better hand at doing. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks crew.

I am also stuck with this issue. Although I only have 140 miles on my car, I was looking through my maintanence sheet and it seems like first oil change is at 6000 some miles?? Do I need to take it in for 3000miles? or should I follow 6000? this is also in the Infiniti website..

that's strange... i thought they all come with the same warranty. I bought mine from north houston infiniti and they told me that the first 24000 miles are maintenance free... they gave me this nice little leather book and it has a maintenance schedule which is also in the navigation system... so at 3375 miles or something like that and every 3375 miles after that I get to bring it in for service and take out the loaner car, the book outlines all the service that they will perform...

that offer is dependent on the dealership.. most of the houston dealerships have something like that.. i've gotten my first oil change and 7500 mi service done at n. houston already.. they do a pretty good job..

According to the schedule that I received from them, you have your first oil change done at 3750 miles.
The cool thing about the nav system is that you can also find that information through it. Plus, once you hit that mark, the screen will indicate to you that it's time for your oil change.
Of course, this is all if you choose to follow that schedule.

Dubiux is correct but there are 2 maintenance schedules. One for more city/harder driving conditions and the other for limited use conditions. I have the city/harder driving style which the 1st oil change is at 3750. The next oil change is at the next 3750 and so on.. I've called different dealership service people and were told different things about using synthetic oil. The manual recommends using petroleum based oil (Normal oil). Of course, it is up to you whether to use conventional vs. synthetic oil.
