"badges are gay, its pure advertising, and free advertising at that, thats what this country is built on...commercial crap
-Ramb0"

Fine. Then sell your commerical crap and move to Iraq, there you can lead a commercial free life.

There is very little that gets under my skin more than spoiled idiot brats that drive $30,000.00 + cars and whine about commercialism in the very nation that allowed them to grow up the clueless, tasteless, ignorant ricers they are.

Still, I have to admit that if you chose to buy a G35, you can't be completely clueless or tasteless... unless of course, you go putting a bunch of loud stickers on it, fartcans, and the like. Then you oughta just be shot for being an offense to mankind.

BTW - to the poster that said the Coupe's rear spoiler is too much flair with too little usefulness? Get a clue. The spoiler has a definite purpose, unlike those ridiculous 3 foot tall aluminum wings... it actually reduces the lift of the car, as well as the drag coefficient.

Re: debadging your car

Sheez man take it easy! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion here. But, what I don't think you are entitled to is telling people they should be shot. There is enough shooting going on lately in the world but I don' think the current political climate has anything to do with the badges on a car. You don't by chance work at a Chrome Letter Factory do you? He He. My "opinion" is that the car looks much better and more symetrical as well with out the free advertising on the back. America is born of that, you are correct. That's why you won't find those things on too many Euro cars. But I still love my country and my car too so I'd rather just remove the letters instead. How bout we keep the posts to cars instead of current political opinions and which people that need to be shot, k? That's what I'm here for anyway. Peace.

Re: debadging your car

conquie, a spoiler doesnt lower drag, it creates drag thus allowing you to steer your car while going 120mph+

spoiler = drag+ extra weight thus useless in a street car.

The reason the drag coefficient is less with the Aero package is because of the underbody defusers, which again, are pretty useless unless you are traveling 120mph+

oh, and badges are still gay, seems like you love commercials... 2+2

Re: debadging your car

I'd tear off the stiched emblems if I owned those gaudy, over -priced apparel - j/k. The first "mod" I did to my car was debadge the letters because I was tired of illiterate dumb-ar$e$ asking me what car that is when I just stepped out of it. Now I just tell them it's the new Lexus sports coupe.

Re: debadging your car

I think that once you spend 30k+ on the car (or any amount), you should be able to do whatever you want to it, including de-badging. Personally, the manufacturer's badges don't faze me so much. The car itself just rolling down the street is it's own advertisement, anyway.

The one thing I really hate, though, is those tacky dealership decals that they often smack onto their cars when they prep it. Any advice for how to remove those?

Re: debadging your car

Yeah, now those DO **** me off. I don't want any stickers on my ride. They can be a bear, but some WD40 and careful prying can work.

Re: debadging your car

I just want to share my $0.02. My car will be debaged. Its looks so much more sweet. But if you choose to keep your on it'll still look good. Matter of taste. To each his own.

Re: debadging your car

Dealership decals suck. The tape lettering is easy to get off. The plaques may be a different story. I hope the Infiniti dealership's are comfortable enough with the company logo that's already on the back and front of the car that they don't need to put their dealership's tag on as well.

The last new cars I bought I asked before delivery that the dealer decal not be put on. I haven't received my coupe yet, but I will do the same when it comes in.

Re: debadging your car

hahaha... i have a photoshop idea for this thread... but im too lazy to do it... i will just DESCRIBE it to you... picture this~ my ivory pearl coupe... like 2 sets of infiniti lettering, 2 sets of skyline lettering, 1 inf. logo, 1 nissan logo, GT-R logo, type-R logo, G35 and 350GT logo, spec V logo, a little chrome T logo, a type S logo....etc.etc.etc.... my G is pretty new... and i, personally, am scared to death of touching the badging... why? cuz i dont like it clean? no~ because i WILL mess it up re-badging or taking it off...

haha, now, seriously tho... i have some unique badging ideas and i am wondering if someone could provide me with a clean, rear shot of an ivory pearl coupe with the skyline and 350GT badges on it.... thanks....

o btw... this is kinda funny because i was saying to my friend the other day... wouldnt it be funny if i rearranged the "SKYLINE" letters people put on the G, bought a couple extra... and wrote "SYKLINES" ... cuz i like to freestyle and flow.... haha, but i would totally understand if someone called rice on that... but HEY, i cant afford a personalized name plate or you'd see me going around with "GD1RTY5" !!!!!
