Headlights foggy
Headlights foggy
I've read numerous posts about cracks and what not on headlights, however on my 04 Coupe's headlights, theres a curved line on both headlights, and look identical on both headlights. On the outer edge of the headlights theres fog from top to bottom. How do I remove the fog, and is this covered by warrenty / recall? (04 G35).
Is the fog on the oustide or inside? if it's on the outside like i've seen on many of the early gen sedans it's just the cheap plastic Nissan uses for the headlights.
go to an auto parts store and pick up some Meguiars Plastic cleaner and polish and put some power into scrtubbing that stuff.
if that fails try wet sanding and polishing it again.
worked on my old S14 which were notoriously bad for yellow head lights.

If the haze is at the beginning stages, regular car wax with some cleaner will usually do the trick. If it has progessed further, the Meguar's Plastx is supposed to do a good job. I have been using Plexus on my headlights as well as Liquid Glass. The haze comes right off, but usually reappears within a short period of time.
My girlfriend has an 06 G35 sedan and it has the hazing as well.
Only things to do are apply wax to them, apply some kind of plastic cleaner or headlight restorer, or polish them and seal them with detailing products and a PC buffer. Never wet sand them, they have a special coating on them and you will mess up your lights even more.

nononono, don't listen to them, I also have an 04 g35 that was bad and spent $30 on polishes and cleaners like plastx and they didn't help and if they do help you might as buy a years supply because you will be cleaning them every two weeks. try 3MT HEADLIGHT Restoration KIT! it's the best and makes your headlights look brand new. I cost about $20 at autozone and advanced auto parts, check out my thread: "it worked, take that plastx" located in the care and detailing section of the forums. I have pics and more info on this
