I would hope no one would be stupid enough to have tint on the car when they showed up for court. That would be like fighting a drug possession charge and showing up for court with drugs on you!

Same thing happened to me, but it wasn't in downtown Chicago. It was down on Irving and Western. Police pulled me over at night and ruled out that I had tints on my car and it was a big "NO NO" for some reason. The ticket said I have tints all around and it is "illegal." Took it to court and won. I only have tints in the rear, not in the front. Chicago Police is notorious for giving tickets. Ugh, hate it.
