so its my birthday today and as im going to work this wonderful morning after a great breakfast that my mom made me and having the whole family sing me happy bday while waking me up i add... wel im off to work and i get pulled over by a sheriff not fun at all so he looks at my tail lights comes up to the window and asks me if i know how dark my tail lights are and of coarse knowing they are dark i say uhm really dark.... all while i am rolling down my 15% tinted windows.... so how much bad luck do i have to have to get a ticket on my bday!!!! sucks.

So my question is to anyone on this forum do u guys have any extra red tail light not tinted that will fit for a 06 g35 coupe if so let me know im willing to buy! for a good price

 

Sucks that you got a ticket on your birthday, but it should be no surprise to you. Those tails are cop magnets.

 

Did the cop say anything about your 15% window tint? I have 20% all around but havent had any issues yet, and hope i don't anytime soon.

 

maybe you should have leaned over and shown some cleavage; licked your lips, that sort of thing.

Nice....you should have mentioned, "Hey it's my birthday, if I promise to change them out will you let this ticket slide?" You should have at least tried to appeal to the cops nice guy side. Give Tony at Riverside a call, I'm pretty sure he has the JDM tails in stock. How were your tails tinted, I guess they're not overlays which are removable....sorry bout this! Great looking G!

mustangpunx...... yea that jerk gave me a ticket for my window tint also but on the ticket it said that it was a non correctable violation so im just gonna pay it and leave it on.

Hmmm...thats weird. My tails were painted black when I bought it. I thought it looked good, but I had my suspicions it wasn't legal. I was told that as long as the lights shine through it is legal and at night you can see the lights perfectly. I also park my car near a police station (as in the back of my car faces the police station) and no police officer has said anything about it. Maybe the laws on that are different in different areas? Maybe I will ask one of the cops if I see one standing outside next time I am leaving work.

 

How much were the tickets by the way?

 

g15.... the cop didnt tell me he just gave me the ticket but i have my suspicians that its gonna be like 160 or so....
