Window regulator question

My coupe has 46k miles on it, and as of this afternoon, the driver window will no longer go down. I used it this morning on the way to work and it was fine. It has never given me any problems or even shown any symptoms of going bad.

I noticed it doesn't even self adjust the window when opening/shutting the driver door anymore. Is that a sign that the regulator needs to be replaced? Or the window motor? What's the difference?

Thanks.

Man this sucks, especially before your trip. I can't help you with this one, don't know **** about the window stuff. Let me know what it was when you find out.

Looks like it's the window motor. If I hit the door handle area when trying to put the window up, it works for a little while. I will probably end up replacing it with a unit from Advance Auto w/a lifetime warranty.

Sounds like your motor went out... you can probably find a replacement at a junk yard or just go buy a new one...
