Re: cost for snow tires/rims?
afr0puff, thanks for the post on the ability of the 18"s being capable winter wheels. I know 17's are the recommended size for winter wheels but I found a nice set of 18's that I really like at a good price so this kind of convinced me to go with those wheels.

Re: cost for snow tires/rims?
You guys are doing the complete opposite of what I am about to do. I ran on my 18's for the winter, slapped some Pirelli Winter 210's, and couldn't even go up my driveway let alone drive down the street. Traction was a BIG 0 !!! That convinced me that 18's are not meant for serious snow conditions. Now I am stuck with high priced 18" snow tires and am looking at buying some stock 17" rims. I am willing to work out a deal with anyone that wants some high priced 18" snow tires for some stock 17" rims and some cash. Just can't handle another winter driving on 18's. I am waiting another month or two before I start a post on the ultimate winter tire, I thought the Pirelli Winter 210's were the end all of winter tires, but apparently not. I am even considering studding the 17's, I need some serious traction down here in Montreal, Canada...

Re: cost for snow tires/rims?
Did you have to call them to place the order? Cause everytime I try selecting the G35c from the drop down list, it says to call the them due to the unique technical aspects or something.
Thanks!

Re: cost for snow tires/rims?
I live in Westchester county here in NY- about 15 miles north of Midtown Manhattan. Last year I got 17" Sport Edition Fox 5's, with Pirelli P210 Snowsports from tirerack for about $1400- and had NO trouble getting around in my 6M/T last winter. I never expected the traction would be as good as it was.
