I need advice, should I buy this 05 coupe?

I found this 2005 G35 Serengeti Sand Coupe

It is STOCK everything and FULLY LOADED with every single factory option possible and 43k miles

I had the car inspected and there is nothing wrong with the car. Its in VERY good condition no scratches nothing but hes the 2nd owner.

He also said he could hook me up with JL audio at dealer cost.

A) How much is this car worth?

I offered him 17k, he is saying he won't go lower than 18k

B) How much do you think it would cost to get 2 12"'s and a AMP thru him? and are sub systems worth it? Would I need to replace the bose speakers?

C) What do you guys think abt the Serengeti Sand.. I think its OK

I know I have to search all other questions but my main question is, is it worth 18k?

EDIT: i forgot to ad its a 5AT

Is this a dealer sale? Or is he private party? Carfax/Autocheck come out ok? Sounds pretty good for 18k. Say to him, "Let's meet half way, $17.5k"

As far as the sound system goes, the value/cost depends on which model he uses to build your system. JL has $100 subs and also $500 subs. Same goes for amps. I'd imagine he'd put $300 to build you a system. Keep in mind, two 12" subs (is he building you an enclosure for your subs?) and an amp will delete your trunk. If you're into chest thumping bass, then maybe it'll be worth it to you. Personally, I'm all about sound quality. I'd opt for some nice component speakers up front and an amp to drive them. That's just me, tho. If you get the subs, you do not need to change your Bose speakers.

Serengeti is probably my least favorite color for Gs and I'm partial to 6MT. But, again, that's just me

Best wishes on the purchase. Keep us updated.

Edit: oops, I misread your post. I thought you said he was going to throw in a sub system for you. At "dealer cost" is nothing, you can get close to dealer cost on the internet. What's worth something is the cost to install. Anyway, you get the idea.

Yeah, I think I'm just going to wait and see if he cracks and goes lower, if not i'll just pay the 18k. Hes a private seller but its in excellent condtion.

I'm not too fond with the SS either but its not that bad. I think i'll grow onto it. I really want an Athens Blue but I can't find any for cheap.

Im just extremely lucky im getting a G in the first place lol

I don't know JACK abt speakers/subs. From what i've been searching ppl say JL is the way to go and some people say the bose sucks.

So which (2) subwoofer/amp combo would u recommend that retails for no more than $800-$1000?

And I think i would have to buy a 4080 enclosure box or something.

If he's only offering JL stuff, you can't go wrong with a 12w3 v3 and a JL 500x1 amp. I have the JL sub matched with an alpine amp. Hits plenty hard enough for me. Just make sure you match the impedance of the sub to the amp so you're drawing the correct amount of power.

18k seems like a pretty reasonable price considering it is fully loaded and assuming it does have a clean title.

It seems like you have a similar situation as i did. I don't think i would wanna go with a private party even though in all cases its cheaper. I just for some reason would rather buy the car out of the pre owned part of the dealer. But as to what you described, 18k is reasonable and a good buy. i paid 3k more at dealership but of course it was 4k miles less, had new tires put on, 30k mile service, engine belt replaced, battery replaced.. simply because the car didn't meet the dealerships resale. so i'm very happy with the car now.
I think if you can get 17.5, that would be even better. Make sure you get all the keys and all the necessary things from him. and GL with the buy!
