Re: G35 coupe vs 350z
Oh one other thing about the 350z that really turned me off. VISIBILITY. Is it just me or is the visibility in that car really bad? It's not just the rear window but the side windows as well, made me feel extremely uncomfortable... im not the tallest guy in the world (6'0) but maybe that car is better suited for shorter people visibility wise.. only a really high end sports car like a dodge viper or highend ferrari warrants that kind of poor visibility.
I did alot of research on the two cars and if you read most of the car reviews almost all of them favor the g35c over the Z overall.. dont get me wrong the Z is a great car, if the g35c never came out hell i'd probably be in a Z (or a used NSX
)

Hey you got your G35 coupe at same day as I did! March 27th is my birthday too!
Anyways, as for G35coupe, I do not regret at all. I was going to purchase 350z before considering G35. Some people thinks 350z is better looking but seriously there are too many of those on the roads! But I wish G35 had more mods than right now. We need more mods available for our coupes!

Re: G35 coupe vs 350z
I had the opportunity to sit in Yuichi's sweet Daytona Blue today (Thanks, Yuichi!). I forgot to ask him what model it was, but it has cloth seats and he hasn't lowered his car. I had to know the difference in height in the seats between my G and his Z, and just as I figured, you sit lower in the Z than you do in the G.
Why does sitting lower in the seats matter to me? You get a different visual cue and feel when driving. Plus, for me at least, the angle is better for aggressive turns. Maybe I'm talking out of my ****.
In this department, it seems to me that difference here is sports-oriented versus luxury-oriented. Anyone have the chance to drive both aggressively?
BTW, I'm not whining, just making an observation for anyone who hasn't made a purchase yet and is considering either car. The Z was never one of my considerations because I'm tired of two-seaters or a 2+2 with unusable rear seats. I need a little more luxury at this stage in my life and the G offers a good balance.

Actually, I didn't have time for a tour of the place, but I heard that you put an intake in yours, eh?
Do you feel it made a difference, and if so, how? Thanks!

Re: G35 coupe vs 350z
Mr. Cyclonus...the Z is not a car for practical people( and some would say the G coupe is not either with that short rear head room..and the interior although not as nice as the G ..is sportier..and is certainly not hideous as u say. Sounds to me like you are all grown up now and need a more "cushy for the tushy "ride....therefore you made the right choice for yourself ..but I wonder how you ever even considered a Z considering your comments...not for you bro..maybe in the 80's..but not now.

Well "bro" , if you want to deny the fact that nissan did not do a good job with the Z interior then that's your prerogative.. but take a look at every car review out there and I think it's not coincidental that almost all of them mention that the interior is rather shabby...
The Z interior may be"sportier" but still "looks cheap"

Re: G35 coupe vs 350z
I chose my Z because my wife has a sedan and the coupes interior while comfy didn't do it for me.I prefer the exterior of the Z also.BTW,last week I was at a light with a nice looking coupe alongside me and the people around us were staring at the Z with nary a look at the coupe.

Ohhh.... that explains everything cyclonus....now I know why your comments are so contradicting. Like I said bro....you made the right choice for yourself...or did a magazine editor make it for you...hard to tell....just like your age...Hammer is gonna warm up your milk now...ok???
