Tranny problem?? (6MT)
ok, for the last month or two, i have noticed a strange noise when taking off. almost sounds like chains dragging on the ground. but only for a second. well i did some more investigating, and it sounds like this in first and second gears. but only with sudden acceleration or abrupt lift. i dont know if its the tranny, the diff, the driveshaft or maybe even the suspension. i am def going to take it in to get checked, but i wanted to know if anyone else has heard of this.......

Just got mine today and I know exactly what you are talking about! 1st and 2nd on and off the throttle coming from the rear end.......chain dragging is the perfect way to describe it! Please let me know if you come up with something? I am not too worried with the warrant and all, but I would like to know?

Your axles are loose! Take it to the dealer and have them tighten them. There will come a point when they can't tighten them anymore, that's when they give you new axles...at least for me anyway. If you listen, it should do it in reverse too. The reason why you don't hear it in other gears is because there is too much ambient noise at that point.
