This is one of only two problems with a otherwise perfect car.
The other is the seat belt going up to your neck all the time. I live on a slight hill, and the door never stays open. Drives me crazy when I'm cleaning the interior. It's a bummer to try and vacuum the car.

I don't think its that big of a deal, just put a rubber block in the door to hold it open... And I like not having to close it myself.

For Nissan to design and sell a car that is in this class of automobile, you shouldn't have to use a rubber block...I had a cheap Kia Rio that didn't have this problem, it's a design flaw that should not be there in the first place.

I take that back. We don't have the detent rod like what I saw on a website. The plastic thing is the detent. I think the silver box that I saw has 2 springs inside which squeezes the plastic bar. Maybe the plastic bar is getting thinner or the springs are loosing their strength. What do you guys think?

My driveway is inclined so I need to have the door stay open.

Thanks

one time i was with my friend taking photos of our G's and i was guiding him on where to park just when i got out from changing my angle, and i didn't notice the door closing and it closed on my thumb and broke it at the top bone, it built up blood and i had to use a needle to "drill" 2 holes to release the pressure on the nail

everything
I like that the doors shut themselves.. that way passengers who ride with me dont have to get their greasy fingerprints all over the my clean paint. Mine basically close themselves if I push them open and get out of the car but they still stay open, say like when Im drying my door jambs after washing it.

This is purely a coupe problem. Pisses me off whenever I drive them.

lol I seen the coupe close its own doors, it was funny I thought since the door was open for a few min then it just closed. No wind and the ground was flat.

When I clean my interior, I park backwards on my driveway so the doors stay open.

My GF gets mad at the car because it's so hard to get out of when it's on the driveway which is a pretty steep incline. It sits low and the door is really long and heavy.. So she makes me open the door for her and yank her out of the car lol.

I've figured out how to live with it. When I pull into my driveway, I take my seatbelt off, swing the door way open and ninja jump out so the door slams shut right when I'm able to get out of the car. My neighbors see me do that sometimes and think it's freaken hilarious.

the g35s first victim. was parked on a semi incline. told her the door is heavy so be careful cus earlier she almost got smashed. 2 hours later she thought she could out run the door by quickly getting out before the door closes lol boy was she wrong. freaking door basically pinned her against the car like a cop throwing a perp against the car to search them. got this txt few minutes after . its was pretty funny tho i was cracking up even after i drove off
