OP your car is desert platinum. I had side moldings on my car when I bought it from the dealer, but I didn't leave the parking lot before making them remove the moldings. Definitely remove them.

Side moldings look horrible and there's no point in having them, remove ASAP.

I had no problem taking mine off. Luckily I live in Arizona, so leaving the car out in the sun for a half hour did it well. It was so warm that I literally just pulled them off, no fishing line or anything lol, it didn't leave any marks on the paint. Just make sure to use goo-gone, because that adhesive **** is hard to get off haha

GooGone is for removal of the glue that held the side molding on OR you can use WD40 the results will be the same. Saturate the area with whatever you use and don't rub too hard, you don't want to scratch the paint. Once off and the glue removed buff on some ScratchX to remove the shadows then throw on some quality wax....it'll look better than new....

What year is your car?

Our cars, without a doubt, look much better without the side moldings. But if you have a dark colored car and it's an '05 or prior year G35.. there's a good chance that your paint may have faded enough from sun exposure to see a slight dark line on the side of the car where the molding once was.

i also have a 04 G35 Coupe, mines Diamond Graphite.
My g35 came with the ugly side moldings and i took them off ,
on a cold winter day(stupid me) so when i pulled the moldings off
it left the shadow of the molding. so i had to put the moldings back on
Bring the car to me next summer, I can remove the shadow from the side moldings with a quick buff.

Nice racing stripe! It'd go better with the orange Brembo calipers.
