Unhappy Doors not locking??

I have a 2003 coupe and recently the door locks stopped working. The doors will not lock with the remote or when I push the button inside the car. The remote still works to roll down the windows so I dont think thats the problem. I thought it might be the actuator but what are the chances it would go out in both doors at the same time? Could it be an electrical problem?

it is in fact an electrical problem , you need to replace the motor that makes the switch lock and unlock.

Check the fuses. It's probably not the motor cause why would both motors stop working at the same time?

You probably mean the door-lock actuators. Usually actuators "wear" out, rather than just suddenly stop working. I highly doubt that both would go out on you, either. You could check the fuses, but I think that each door has it's own fuse, and the chances of both of those going out at the same time it's pretty low...I would consider taking it to an electrician to have it checked out.

Yeah I am having the same problem on my 04 coupe. Did the locks on the doors go out slowly or did they just stop working at one instance? If the locks started going out on you slowly then it is the actuators that must be replaced. If the locks just stop all of a sudden one day and never worked again then it is something in your electrical system that must be found. Mine started going out gradually so I noticed that it was the actuators that needed to be replaced and not an electrical problem. I am replacing both of them this weekend.

Same thing happened to me a few years back. I got the actuator replaced under warranty.
