Short throw in 06mt
A proper short throw shifter does not shorten the shifter... they extend the shifter under the pivot point.
What they arent telling you is the 40% while sounding huge could be very marginal. Think of it like this. If you have a 100cm shift (theoretically) and its 40% shorter, you now have a 60cm shift. But lets say you have a 20cm shift, less 40% you now have a 12cm shift. While still being 40% shorter its not as noticeable because of the shorter distance being calculated. Keep that in mind, some people swear by short throws, i really considered one but i decided my money would best be spent elsewhere. To each his own.
My question is if I've got a bunch of mods in mind, and a couple hundred bucks is something I can really use towards something else, is it really worth it to spend it putting in a short throw??
I feel like this has basically been answered, just wanted to clarify.
I'm going to go and pick up a Nismo Black Aluminum shift **** and see how it feels. Any reviews?

Just my .02
short shifter is well worth it, but not required for the 6mt.
Real difference youll feel will be shifting from 4th to 5th. I had a short shifter but gave me to many problems so I went back to stock. but it was a no name shifter
