Short throw in 06mt

After searching around and doing some reading I believe I've confused myself...what's new.

Is the 06 6sp coupe's shifter a short throw shifter???

I am not as educated on these things as I would like to be yet -
any info would be fantastico, thanks.

Shorter throws/shifts. The G's shifter is pretty short to begin with though.

Since you're local stop by here https://g35driver.com/forums/nationalgclub-133/ and introduce yourself. We have a good amount of members around your area and if you need any help i'm sure they would be willing.

Just change the shift **** to get a different feel. I cant see any gain on buying an aftermarket shifter when ours is pretty short to begin with.

+1^^^

Just put a nice weighted **** on and it will both shorten the shifter height and give you smoother shifting. I got a nice weighted, brushed aluminum color, ball shift **** for $40 and it made a world of difference.

In addition to it being shorter it will be slightly harder to shift, kinda notchier.

There is no way a weighted shift **** alone can compare to the feel of a good short shifter and a new shift ****...

My question is if I've got a bunch of mods in mind, and a couple hundred bucks is something I can really use towards something else, is it really worth it to spend it putting in a short throw??

I feel like this has basically been answered, just wanted to clarify.

I'm going to go and pick up a Nismo Black Aluminum shift **** and see how it feels. Any reviews?

Damn. Now you've gone and thrown a wrench into my plans.

I may need a short throw shifter.

I changed out the factory shift **** for the THX-SS Shift **** and it it feels much better and, because the **** is lower, the throws feel "shorter"
