How to Install Clearance Strip Bulbs?

How to I change the light bulbs for the clearance strips?

I opened up the wheel plastic piece and found the bulb, but I could not pull out the piece holding in the stock bulb.

How do I pull it out?

Thanks alot.

Jason

Re: How to Install Clearance Strip Bulbs?

The Clearance strip bulb is held by a plastic cap with a flat retangular piece extruding from its hole. you will find it near the top of the headlight assembly, just outside where the HIDs are.

grab the rectangular tab, push it in and turn counter-clockwise. about a quarter turn should do it. then pull it out.

The bulb is a wedge type so just yank it out and stick the new one in.
putting the thing back might be tricky because of the funny angle going in. just be gentle and don't crush your new bulb.

Basically everything Fluffy is about right. Be VERY careful putting the bulb back in, my PIAA Extreme white bulb slipped out of the holder while putting it in, and now its lost somewhere in the depths of the headlight...sigh.
