So I've owned my 2003 G35 coupe for less than a year now and it seems like there is always something new that is going wrong. First it was the doors not locking, they won't unlock with the remote or the buttons inside the car. Then the windows would roll up too fast when I shut the door and the windown wouldn't slide up into the seal like it's supposed to. Then the radio started shutting off on it's own and refusing to turn back on. Now the radio has begun to shut off and my A/C turns on full blast. When this happens the display on the radio shuts off and none of the buttons work to control the radio or turn off the A/C. And to top it off the paint is so soft that I have several very noticeable chips on my hood. I can deal with all of these problems except for the one involving the A/C and radio. Can anyone tell me if this is a common issue and what needs to be replaced to fix it? Still a very beautiful car just not what I expected when I traded in my trusty little honda for it.

 

Never had any of the issues but I have an 04. 2003 was the first model so you should expect some problems.

 

damn... sorry to hear man... BUT ALL OF THE ABOVE are common issues with our Gs, it sucks to hear that you are experiencing all of them.

your radio is attached to the climate control board.. and its gone... better invest in a car computer or double din aftermarket system .... also use the search function.

your windows need to be reset.. and if that doesn't work... try the other million solutions available via search function.

our clear coat is next to nothing... thus the paint chips... your just gonna have to live with it.. OR repaint your car OR.. search the forums for other solutions via...... THE SEARCH FUNCTION!!!!

its not just the 03s... the 03-04s have problems (ac-radio etc. etc.) , the 05-07s (uprev oil problems etc. etc.) have common problems... and the entire lineup through 03-07 have problems (cheap *** paint etc. etc.)

anyways, its still a G35 and take good care of her... it'll be worth it after you fix your problems.

All cars have problems, no matter the year, model, or make. If I was you I would just take it to a shop and have them check it to see what's up with your ride.
