Exhaust and other Misc...

Whats going on. I just recently bought my 05 G35 Coupe. I just put an Injen CAI in it last week and now I'm itching for some more power to squeeze out of her.

Thinking about doing the exhaust next but don't know who to go with. I want a deep throaty sound.(not a rice burner exhaust)

Any advice would help greatly as there are so many to listen to on freakin youtube.

Thanks,
Matt Glidden

You should do plenty of reasearch

Fast Intentions is a good exhaust

search the intake & Exhaust section of the site

Fast Intentions and HKS are a couple of favorties.

Make sure you pay attention to the other mods on youtube, an exhaust w/stock cats and an exhaust w/test pipes are going to sound pretty different.

Should I take the cats off all together? Or did you put after market as well?

I like the Amuse exhaust system, its very expensive but its a full titanium catback exhaust. Very lightweight and sounds sooooooo sick!

If you remove the stock cats you will need to replace them with aftermarket cats or test pipes

Thats up to you. some keep the stock cats because its illegal to have aftermarket ones or some don't want the exhaust any louder

Do research then ask questions

+1

we can help better if you have a specific question rather than our opinions on each cause I'm sure most folks can support dozens of answers for every question

I have heard really great things about the Fast Intentions systems but depends heavily on exactly what you're looking for, cost/sound/weight etc.

Keep those mods rollin!

The choice is up to you gliddenmatthew in reguards of choosing an full cat-back exhaust & the cat situation for your G.

Although everyone's tastes is different, including my own, you may want to take your time on this one. Youtube may be your best bet in search of to having a slight idea of what sound and finish is personally prefered. Even better, where ever your located, you maybe lucky enough to join a local car meet in your town to personally hear the exhaust tones from other G's/Z's.

There many choices.............but everyone's taste is different. Start saving and go with your own instincts.

Nothing sinister.
