Overall, the sedan looks much better....better wheels, front end, taillights, interior, nice new slate color.

The coupe's wheels are nasty. They look aftermarket and will be out of date in 4 years. They look polished or chromed....I like my 18" much better.

As for the 04 vs. 05 interior, I noticed the flip-out cubbyhole under the stereo is bigger. Right now it is just a useless ash tray. The keyless ignition is cool. They seemed to have taken out the passenger side 12V & little slot under it (or maybe the sedan doesn't have this). The brushed AL looks much cleaner and will wear better over time. The photochop'ed pic 2 posts above mine has diff. vents than the real photos in the OP.

First off, I wish someone had a REALLY GOOD pic of the gauge cluster. Like one thats taken from the drivers seat.

Hate the rims, like the new interior better.

Switch. Think of how you sound talking like that. Just because something is brand new doesn't mean it has to be better. Believe it or not, some people actually prefer the look of the 04 rims to those, myself included. I like the idea of the aluminum console, but I wish it was placed more like the old configuration. I really wish I had the keyless start though. I would never trade my 04 for the 05 because the gauge cluster looks like a Honda Accord's.

you already have it, go to infinitinews.com the pic of the interior is 100% identical to the one posted here (not the gray one though that one is wrong in many ways), just at different angles, and is exactly what you want, from the drivers seat directly looking at the cluster.

 

I just heard from a dealership here in San Jose that the '05 coupe is going to be delayed 3 months due to the fact that they need a tranny that can handle the 300HP. I don't see why the existing one can't handle an extra 20HP.

That puts the delivery date out to March on my calendar. =(

 

That's the 6MT model I'm referring to above. Not the 5AT.

 

one of the guys at grubbs infiniti (danny) also says that the manual transmission is being redesigned, its the reason that the manual from the start was scheduled to come out 2 months later than the auto. he thought it would slip to january though not as far away as your guys think.

I know the sedan wheels are 18", but on the coupe are they 18's or 19's????

 

READ THE THREADS! manuals come with 19's.

 

coupes actually come with 3 different possible wheels:

base-auto = 17"
base-auto with tire upgrade = 18"
sport-auto and sport-manual = 19"

 

why spend the money and get 19"s from the factory.. when you can just volks =D

Hate the wheels, love the interior. Is it just me or does the coupe look like it sits lower than the 03/04? The official press release did mention a "new" sports suspension.
