lighting op's
So im officially part of the family, i picked up my 06' 5at 30k miles OB g35 coupe w/sport package this past week!!!! =)
My ? is wut do you guys think would look better on my ob coupe, opaque black gtr overlays for head and tail lights, or painting the housing in a shiny black. Whichever i decidede, im positive that i want to match the paint of the car as closely as possible. Opinions and picture examples please (take into account that im also planning to possibly do a strip of led's where those wierd shiny groove lines r in the headlights)

Welcome!! And congrats OB brotha! (welcome to the hell of pollen count!)
IMO if you have the means/funds paint always looks better! I'd love to color match my light housing and get the rears GTR'd in OB.
If you want to have the flexibility to remove then Bluebat is the man to yap at. He makes all kinds of styles and can do an opaque that looks really sharp on our OB butts

I would definitely paint the headlights instead of getting overlays. If you check G35papa's thread there are several pics in there. As for the tail lights, I would go with bluebat, but you will probably have to wait a bit.

^ I was reluctant at first, but decided to paint them anyways. It's not that difficult to paint them. As long as you take your time, you should be fine. The worst part is removing the bumper to get to the headlights. If you have someone do them for you, would they remove the bumper for you? If you have to remove it yourself, might as well just paint them.

^ He put the pics in the wrong thread. I think he meant to put them in this one.
