Actually, it's my daily driver. I don't do burnouts or anything like that. But I do drive spirited where the roads permit.

The minimum LEGAL amount of tread depth is 2/32". If you take a penny and put it in the tread with top of Honest Abe's head toward the tread and if you can see all of the top of his head, you have LESS than 2/32" left. See below:

There are also some "wear indicators that run across the tread. Whe the tread is level with the indicators, you need new tires. See below:

Myself, I change at 4/32".

Get a tire depth gauge at your local parts store. They are cheap.
That way you can check for uneven wear.

I also will not run tires on my FRONT less than 4/32.

Have had Yoko S-drive's on my 04 for 15K and they had 7/32 left last time I checked. They are wearing nicely too.

I did recently add SBD Grounding Kit to my coupe and have been experiencing improvements in MPG

besides buying tires and major issue that I can't fix, I do everything myself..changing the oil, tune up,brake pad, fluid replacement and minor stuff.it's good to know a little about cars..save yourself some money..
