Question..
I do most of it myself, but if it's a warranty thing, like the only place you can get it is the dealer, I go there. The only thing I have had done at the dealer so far is the 30,000 and 60,000 mile service and I did as much as I could before going in. I changed all the fluids that I could; trans (6MT), rear end, engine oil, brake and clutch fluids etc. I didn't do a coolant flush because I wanted their expertise for that. (didn't want bubble in system and I wanted factory recommended coolant)
I do it myself if it's something I know how to do.
otherwise I bring it to my personally trusted mechanic who ironically is also my coworker.
If it's something that is out of my reach and is extensive work that is under or only warranty, then I will bring it to the dealer as a last resort.
IE: my engine that needed to be replaced was done by Infiniti just a few days ago since it's still under warranty.

My coupe only sees Infiniti for warranty work and only when needed! If I need major service like 30K mile I take it to my trusted Nissan dealership where only one mechanic works on my car. He has a lower rack for the GT-Rs and that works fine for my lowered coupe. Brakes, alignment and suspension or exhaust I have an independent shop that sees my G35. I don't trust many people with my G....
