Is This A Good Buy??? I need to know.

Can someone please tell me if this is a good buy. I need as many opinions as possible. Here are the specs on this car that is on the market from a private seller. Also, if you guys could tell me the pros and cons of this buy, I would appreciate it.

It has almost 25,000mi.
2003 G35 coupe(6mt), black with black leather, every option available, sports package with spoiler, premium package, upgraded bose, 6 disc in dash cd player, navigation system, tinted windows, fully serviced at dealer at regular intervals (just serviced), Jim Wolfe intake, performance plenum, underpulley system.

He is asking $30,900

why don't you throw that info into kbb.com and check to see what the going rate for private sales are.. you can always negotiate prices

The KBB in excellent condition without the tint & the mods is $30,460. So the price is probably reasonable. I would be concerned with how the car was driven, though. If it's modded, it was probably driven pretty hard. That might have a significant effect on the life and the value of the car.

Granted....but I'm curious about your opinion with regards to purchasing that car with almost 25,000mi...From what I have read, I see that the coupe 6mt needs special care. Is purchasing a used car with that many miles on it a huge risk do you think? Even with those mods and options?

I see....Does anybody on the forum have any experience with buying the coupe 6mt used....if so what were the conditions; or has the majority bought their car brand new?

You're taking a risk when you buy any used car. You just don't know how it was driven or cared for. Even if the service records are complete, abuse may not show up until the car has 70,000 miles on it. If you're planning on keeping the car for a long time, you need to consider this. 25,000 miles isn't a lot for a 2 year old car, but it is for a 1 or 1.5 year old car. When was the car originally purchased? Is it an '03 or '03.5? There seem to have been more bugs and rattles in the '03s than in the '03.5s. If you're considering buying the car, run a Carfax and have a mechanic check it out. Also consider buying an extended warantee.
