Serious Seat Problem, need help and advice

I left work in Charlotte today, I was about 20 mins into my drive back to WV to visit my family. All of a sudden, my seat moved forward a notch. (2005 g35 coupe) I thought, wtf. So I moved it back. Then it moved up again. It stopped for a bit, but long story short, for my entire 5 1/2 hour drive, I constantly had to hold the switch back and push with my left foot.

It would let up at times for around 20 mins tops. If I didn't catch the switch with my hand and push back, it would push me all the way up to the dash. First off, this is very dangerous driving. I called the dealership for some advice and there was really nothing they could tell me. I was going to disconnect a harness, but the dealership advised against it do to airbag controls.

Sometimes it would jerk forward a few notches, then stop. Then go, then stop, then take off and not stop. When I pushed back on the seat switch, it would stop forward movement, but not move backward. I would have to push with my left foot while holding the switch back. Even then when I let off it would take off forward again. I'd have to keep doing it until it would stop. I tried keeping my seat all the way back, more forward from normal, everywhere, and nothing made a difference.]

You could hear it click when it would start to move like somehow the switch was engaged. The dealership said that something might have got down in there and is created a contact, but I find that hard to believe.

Right now I'm really frustrated with the G. I ordered a replacement DS window motor, mine completely crapped out after 2 cleanings, and now this seat issue. It's unsafe, and a major pain. Has anyone else ever heard of this?

I searched and no dice. No one I've talked to has ever heard of anything like this. The only other thing I'd note is that when the seat was staying put as it should, I could adjust it front to back and back to front with no problems.

I really need to get this solved before I drive back. I'm prob gonna pull the seat tomorrow and get a good look at everything. Possibly loose contacts, a short, stripped wire, anything electrical that's out of the ordinary.

Bump, sorry to be annoying, but I need some help. I can't deal with this for another 6 hour drive. Too dangerous. I have tomorrow and Saturday to figure something out.

Is your seat memory set up for exit and entrance mode? If so try reprogramming that and see if it still happens.

The only things then that control the seat is the power switch on the side, relay, or BCM. Check to see if you disconnect the seat switch the concern still happens. Might be a switch starting to short out, I have seen those more then the relay and BCM.
