Hi everyone, I've been lurking here for a while and finally decided to make my 1st post as I have came across and issue I am unable to resolve.

About a week ago I started having issues with my car an 03 auto g35 with 77,000 miles. 1 of the issues I was having was that, coming off of a stop light, I would push the gas but my car wouldn't move. The rpm meter would go up, no movement. Until about 3-4 seconds later the car started to move again. No I did not have the car sitting in neautral.

the 2nd time (which happened a few day later) the car felt like it was about to stall on me.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? No engine light was on, no changes were made to the car. Anyways help would be appriciated.

 

When was the last time you had any type of maintenance on it?
Might just need a tune up..

 

I don't remember when, but I do the regularly scedule maintenance

 

Worse case would be your tranny is going out.

 

uhhh... that would be a bit extreme wouldn't it?

Could the MAF sensor casue this issue?

 

Your spark plugs would be something to look at if you haven't had them replaced. But if you have replaced them and it's still doing what you are describing then I'm leaning towards tranny going out.

 

Yeah take it to a shop, I'm thinking its going to be the tranny tho. Gl

 

You'd want an expert opinion, but engine revving with car not moving usually means tranny issues.
