Hey guys..
So I noticed the driver seat is starting to crack a little on my baby. The rest of the seats are pretty much brand new. I've been looking around to buy a new one but then I found this by searching on driver...
2005–2006 INFINITI G35 COUPE; TEAR IN DRIVER’S SEAT CUSHION TRIM
There is a cut or tear in the driver’s seat cushion trim
http://x.infinitihelp.com/forum/loca...d&pp=12&page=3
About halfway down the page it says that this is a TSB on the 2005/2006. I dowloaded the PDF and it does say that they should be replacing it. I'm out of bumper 2 bumper warranty but do you think I can get away with complaining to Infiniti?
Thanks
Jenna

I don't know but thanks for that link, I have the same issue with my seat as well as the problem with my glove box light staying on. I hope I can get my dealership to take car of these issues.

I just called my dealership and they said that recalls are covered no matter how old or how many miles the car has.
op
update us if they do fix it. My driver seat is also ripping from the sides and I'm also out of warranty.

I'm just not sure if this will fall under the same TSB. I will keep you posted. I guess its worth the try right? Maybe stealership will work w me.... maybe.... If nothing I can go back to buying a new seat myself.
Edit: I stand corrected. I called Infiniti of Peoria (AZ) and they said TSB ISSUES ARE NOT COVERED IF YOUR OUT OF WARRANTY. Seemed like a whole bunch of bs to me and the guy was a little slow so Im calling Infiniti of Scottsdale just to confirm. There was too many ummm.. hmm.. in that 2 min convo. Will keep you guys posted as I find out more.

ohhh I see.
Well I just went to cerritos infiniti for the axle click fix, and upon return of my vechile.
The advisor came out and stopped me before I left and told me if I knew that there was a TSB out for the driver seat tear. I didn't know nothing about it.
He told me that they ordered a new seat with cushion and seat for free for me already and he'll call me when it comes in to schedule an appointment and install it.

It will all depend on the dealership. I had my rear axle click fixed out of warranty for free by the dealer, because there was a TSB on it. I have heard others in the same situation have been told it's not covered. Is it ripping from the plastic behind the leather? Mine is starting this crap too...
Ok so get this.. Infiniti of Peoria says no TSB is no good if your out of warranty. Pinnacle Infiniti says TSB are good as long as your car problem meets the TSB. He said these are recalls and Infiniti is required to fix it. WTF??
The thing is Infiniti of Peoria is down the street from me and the other one is over an hour away. I'm going to call the service director at Peoria and talk to him directly. We have history of arguing over TSB since my OC lol.

think I just might make a call to my local dealers

Jenna, when you consider the cost of a new seat cover an hour drive isn't bad considering the STEALERSHIP by you will likely fail to cover it. I don't get companys in todays economy not taking care of their customers. You'd think they'd be....

I agree Gary but yea they don't really care..
So conclusion of my study is that ALL TSB are not covered if your car is out of warranty. I talked to like 4 dealers so it's a firm answear.
Looks like I'm in the market for a new driver seat.
