best way to ride lower
best way to ride lower
Ok so I was looking at my 04 Coupe yesterday and I think I want to go a little lower with it rather than stock but at the same time I don't want to be dragging my bumper everywhere. Any ideas on this would be fantastic. Oh and I don't want to spend a ton of money either so cheaper is better
Thanks for any help!!

If that difference isn't enough for you then go with Tein 350z H-tech springs. That's what I'm running now and it's a perfect drop for me. Not too low, but closes the wheel gap perfectly.
it all depends on what you want, close up the tire gap or get closer to the ground
why not get coilovers? because most likely you will want to go lower in the future
but you really only have two choices, springs or coilovers

I like it bc I can make it over speed bumps at angles and not mess up my kuruma. Low enough for me. Now that its settled looks even lower then in the pic. It all depends on the city you drive in and how the streets are. Here we got speed bumps EVERYWHERE so this works out great for me.
make sure you upgrade your shocks as well and get an alignment... if you go lower than an inch, look into getting front and rear camber kits, the cost will pay for itself by prolonging the life of your tires.

Did you need a camber kit? Or just an alignment? And also did you get new shocks? Thank you
You can lower on 350Z springs or H-tech 350z springs and not require any camber or toe kits. I just suggest you spend the money on a quality alignment, dialed in toe settings will save your tires and your wallet.
I'm lower than 1-inch all around and I only needed a rear toe/camber kit, but my installer said he could have probably have dialed in the toe with the stock setup. He mentioned it would still wear faster than what he did do, but not nearly as bad as a half-*** attempt from some national tire store. I took my setup to a local porsche shop that also does race prep for their cars and their customers.
I was able to get 4-wheels/tires mounted, balanced, camber/toe kit installed and aligned for less than $300.

Do you guys have problems on pot holes and small bumps on roads those of you only lowered on springs? On my old car I lowered it not to far and going over pot holes felt like freaken car crash.
I would probably scrape going on speed bumps in my school. They are like twice as big as normal once.
Here's mine with Nismo S-Tune suspension and 25mm spacers all around. Its not bad to be honest. Since my car is a daily driver, its not too low or stock height in a sense. I still maneuver around potholes and such. You would have to deal with small bumps on the long run if your going to change your current set up. On mine, its stiffer than stock so you feel more bumps then the usual. Speed bumps is not a problem with this. If you really wanna spend money on some suspension though, I'd suggest some coilovers.
