Re: !! AHH HELP - ''CD ERR FO''
I've had three separate CD players already and two have went "kaput" on me, saying those dreaded words:
CD ERR FO -----> Damn you!
2003.5 BS coupe 5AT
Clear Corners, Alum. Pedals, Pro-1 Intake, Helix Test Pipes, UR Pulley, Grounding Kit, CF Engine Cover, GReddy EVO II Exhaust, Kinetix Plenum

Re: !! AHH HELP - ''CD ERR FO''
Your "Audio Unit" (AM/FM/CD Changer Combo Unit) carries the SAME warranty as your vehicle's basic warranty period.
4 years OR 60,000 mile (whichever comes first)
You will need to contact (not necessarily visit) your local Infiniti dealership who can take all of the pertinent information over the telephone and order a REMANUFACTURED "Audio Unit" for your vehicle. It will take your dealership anywhere between 2 days to 2 weeks (depending on availibility from Clarion) to receive it via U.P.S. The dealership then should contact you to schedule an appointment to replace your "Audio Unit." The malfunctioning "Audio Unit" from your vehicle will then be shipped back to the manufacturer (Clarion) to be repaired (and remove the "stuck discs") and recycled to the next needy client/dealership. Expect AT LEAST 2 -3 WEEKS to receive your CD's back from the manufacturer (Clarion) to either your dealership or directly to yourself.
IF your vehicle is no longer in warranty (either by time or mileage) then the process is very different.
You will have to either remove the "audio unit" from the vehicle yourself or have your local Infiniti dealership remove it for you. The dealership will then either send it back to the manufacturer (Clarion) for repair OR they will send it to one of several Independant electronic repair shops to fix it for you. Expect to drive around with a HOLE in your dash for approximately 1 week until they receive your newly repaired "audio unit" back to install in your vehicle.
You can expect to pay anywhere between $175 (+ labor) to $250 (+labor) MINIMUM to have your "audio unit" repaired out of warranty!!
I hope this answers ALL of your questions!!

Re: !! AHH HELP - ''CD ERR FO''
By the way, your radio (even though it says BOSE on the face-plate) is NOT made by Bose. Your radio is made my CLARION. Bose does NOT make radios, they make SPEAKERS and also assist various manufacturers with the design of the overall audio system. This is the case with ALL of the current Infiniti models!!
