2006 Coupe 6MT fully load(Nav, prem package, bose, spoiler, sun roof) at 11608 miles for 24500 ? Car is like new.

 

It sounds like $411. a month for the next five years for the car payment.
$135.00 A month insurance (unless you have a multi car discount)
And about $185.00 a month for gas.

So in total it will cost you about $750 a month to drive it for the next five years. If you can accept that reality or swing it by all means jump in.

People always forget the added cost of just more then the car payment so I just wanted to add the extra suprises up front.

Seriously though offer them 21.6K and work to a middle ground. Time is on your hand.

So for the next 5 years you are going to spend about 45,000 just in payments, insurance and fuel. And I won't remind you about oil changes, brakes, tires, belts, hoses, and other vehicle fluids.

 

^good way to put it. I completely forgot about all the other aspect of buying a car because i just wanted it, but it still wasn't bad to the point where i couldn't handle it. But for sure thats a good reminder.

 

Don't forget tires. From what I have read and researched, G's eat thru tires, especially the 19's.

Just as reference, bought an '07 5AT coupe fully loaded (everything but RAS) with 12,900 miles for $28,400. And this was dealer CPO.

 

Prices vary from location to location, but my idea of a good deal is not just how much money I pay up front. People get hung up on the price tag but then forget about things like interest rates on loans, piece of mind knowing that when something goes wrong with the car a month from now it will be taken care of, etc...

But strictly talking price tag: it just happens that I just bought a just-about-fully loaded (no navigation ) 2006 6MT with 32K in NC.
The price tag on the car was $23,500. I bought the car from Carmax so that was the price for the vehicle.
Blue book says the car is worth $25,450 retail.
Edmunds says the car the car is worth $28,218 retail (Edmunds online appraiser had more options to add than the Nada website).

Some folks would say Carmax is a rip-off, but I rather pay a couple thousand more for the excellent shopping experience and the piece of mind that I am getting a good car from a company that's going to back up its product. This is the 4th car I've bought from them and I have had nothing but really good experiences.

Now, what other folks are alluding to on this thread (insurance, gas, maintenance ) is cost of ownership, not price tag. And that varies extremely from owner to owner. Whether you can afford to buy and maintain the car, that's another story .

 

Not really sure if I can judge whether that price is good or not considering the low mileage, but I'm planning to look at 2 2006 6MT Coupes this weekend. They're both about ~60,000 miles and the dealers are asking just under $18,000. Both loaded w/o Nav like the one you're interested in.
