im going home from my girlfriends house from RT 3. it was like 2:30am in the morning and im all sleepy. So trying to get home fast im doing around 80 in the left lane and pass up a lexus gs 400 hooked up with rims and tints. did'nt think anything of it. im going around a turn and all of a sudden I see Xenon Light coming up quick, did'nt pass me but was on my *** and messing with me, we come out of the turn, tries to make a quick turn to pass me but as soon as I got out of the turn downshifted to 3rd and we were on all the way down RT 3. He was about a car 1/2 in back of me....did not pass me but he was quick...stood with me the whole time. doing about a 120 or 125 had to shut down and get off at hoboken, all most crashed i was going so dame fast had to slow down. good race.

 

how did you know it was 400 if it didn't pass you?

i was rolling home from work last week in light traffic on a 5 lane highway when i approached a kid (20ish) in a nice lexus SC430 convertible. ....wasn't even thinking about instigating a race, but this kid just punches it and gets about four car lengths in front of me. i hammerred my 5AT, took about an 1/8th of a mile to catch him and pass him like nothing. i put about 4 cars on him up to 125mph before i assume he got the message and i shut it down. nothing to brag about really, but this chump was askin for it.

must be something about the G too, because the next morning a Z28 creeps up behind me on the same highway. he pulls along side and then punches it. i decide "why not" and tried to hang. i was surprised because he didn't put much ground on me from 70mph up to about 100, but i could clearly tell i was fighting a losing battle so i backed off. i'm pretty sure it was either an auto or someone who wasn't too good with a 6 speed in the camaro

 

I had a guy in his SC430 call me out at the track so I raced him. Let's just say, I smoked him by 5 cars and we both had passengers.

i lost to my friends gs400. they are quick top end. i had him till 90mph.

 

Your boy has a 300 with 400 badges. You won't smoke a 32valve, 4.0 liter, 300 hp, 310lbs torque, 0-60 in under 6 second sec car. It will be a good race.
Considering both cars are autos and you just have to press the gas, he must have been asleep.

 

i know how to race i only got 2 superbikes..........and i know what he got.....its a 99 gs400.....not no 300.......if you get smoked by gs3s thats noones fault

1SICK - Whatcha doing over here on this site?? Hey, it's Mean Gene from the old CL family!! My ex-wife has my old modded GS4 so I bought a '03 G35 ( joined the "dark side", right?? ). LOL!! It depends on the mods that were done to either car. I've done the same basic mods on my G35 that the GS4 had ( T/C; intake; exhaust & ECU ( tell Mo @ SRT I said "Hi" )) & I raced my old GS ( with my son driving ). I easily took him off the line & put some space between us ( maybe 2-3 car lengths ) until about 100 mph. Then the bigger V-8 of the Lexi started breathing & he started catching up. We S/D @ 140 mph with me still ahead by about a length. I took my G35 to the track & it's running 5.0 - 5.2 0-60's & a best quarter of 13.23 @ 107. If ya remember the time slips I posted on the CL board, my GS4 did a best of 5.2 & 13.79 @ 103. The 2 cars are totally different. The Infiniti is a better handling ride but the Lexi would be my choice for a long distance trip. The extra weight of the Lexus is probably the deciding factor here.
There's a few of the old CL family over here ( myself, Marcus - "TXSTYLE" & Dr. Rick ). The Nissan enthusiasts here are much more hardcore than the CL guys. Take care, my friend!!

GS400 are fast but not as fast as a 6-speed G. Sorry but the G has the extra gear to play with and better power to weight ratio (better Cd too). Lexus is soooo yesterday in terms of sportiness. Sorry but they have the most bland product line in the Luxury division.
