Hi All,

I just bought an '03 G35 Coupe: A/T, Every concievable Option. The car only has ~13k miles and was kept in a climate controlled garage, so this one looks like it is nearly showroom new. I used to a bit of amateur import tuning back in the day: '98 Maxima in the 90's, before that a '78 280Z in the 80's.

I have two newbie questions:

1) What the heck does the "Rev-Up" engine designation mean?

2) Who makes the best CAI kit?

Thanks in advance!

Rev-up is the designation for the 298hp motor, which is a different plenum....only'05 and up 6MT have it

I don't recommend a CAI...a Z tube with a pop charger/K&N drop-in is safer and easier.

This is the upside to a "Bad Economy", lots of people need quick cash for whatever reason. And the is a "Retirement Bubble" going on right now, lots of older guys moving out of the country to places with low costs of living. I found a car that had both situations going on, and even got it for $1k less than KBB value for "Private Party Sale". I just happened to get VERY lucky on this one...

What is unsafe about a CAI like the Stillen premium model? I am fairly familiar with CAIs, I had one in my '98 Maxima; it even required some fabrication and such to install, so I am fairly handy.

I just bought my G this past friday. It's a 2003 coupe, 6MT with 28k miles. Private seller too so i got a great price. A bunch of the Gs that I looked at were being sold becuase the owners just didn't drive them anymore. That was the case for the one I got. Was driven like 4000 miles in the past year, if that. Low mileage ones are out there. You just have to look around for a little while

Agreed. I purchased my 04' 6MT G a few weeks back (15k miles) for a good price. It was the guys secondary car and he hardly ever drove it (sat in the garage). There out there
