Sad, look at this auction

HTML Code:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7915845784&category=33710
From the description and the 'one broken lower mounting cap' it is pretty clear to me that these headlights were STOLEN off a G35C. wtf do people still bid on these and why is Ebay allowing stuff like this to be sold?

Stolen headlight

Sukairain... When you link a website try typing the following...

url=http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7915845784&catego ry=33710]Stolen headlight[/url]

The only thing you'll need is a <font color=red>[</font color=red> in front of the first url and you'll be set.

FYI, I reported the incident to EBAY as a possible stolen item. It will be interesting to see if they remove it or not.

<font color=blue>The above statements are only my take on the issue. If you disagree with anything I typed then you are 100% right!</font color=blue>

Re: Sad, look at this auction

I dont think it's stolen.....Look at his past auctions. I'll tell you whats going on, he works at an Infiniti dealership and they were probably gonna throw these things out. I mean a bunch of headlights for the G35 and FX, taillights for the QX, Door panel for the FX. I bet my headlights get sold when they get replaced in my G under warranty. They only have a small crack that is barely noticable.

It could have been in an accident, and taken off a totalled G.

Re: Sad, look at this auction

I agree with GforceI, perhaps he's stealing them from the dealership he works at (or from their dumpster), but his name is infparts (infiniti parts).

I guess he could be some type of serial headlight stealer that specifies in infiniti's only, but I'm thinking you jumped the gun on this one.

Yeah, I didn't bother to check out his old auctions, I guess you guys are right. It still bothers me about the 'one broken mounting tab,' because that's the tap you would break if you attempted to remove the headlight without first disassembling the front bumper.

Re: Sad, look at this auction

He's sold a headlight assembly for a sedan with a broken lower mount tab too. Seems really fishy to me. If the guy works for Infiniti then don't you think he knows how to remove them without breaking their mounting tabs? Without the tabs how else would you mount them?

Re: Sad, look at this auction

Wouldn't the Infiniti dealership have to inventory a warranted part. I mean how can Infiniti NA afford to keep replacing head lamp assemblies (and what keeps the dealership from making fradulent claims with Infiniti NA?). Those things are very expensive. What if the dealership got audited by Infiniti and didn't have the broken head lamps. They would not be reimbursed for the replacement costs, right? My gut says that something is not right here.

The fact that your passenger head lamp might be offered on his next auction...
