dead battery + keyhole cover = dilemma

dead battery + keyhole cover = dilemma

so i went out to find the battery dead on my car this morning, problem is that i have the keyhole cover on my drivers side door and cannot get into the car not. what are my options to get the door opened up?

id rather not break a window.....is there any way i can jimmy it? where can i get one of those jimmy's to open the lock from between the window and door panel?

Uhm. Pop the escutcheon (keyhole cover) off.

pop the keyhole cover off.... then what? how will that help me unlock the door?

i see what you mean.....the keyhole cover is not just a cover that went over the oem keyhole. it replaced the keyhole cover and keyhole, so theres nothing under the cover. no keyhole for me to stick a key in.

Wait why would you ever have that done to your car? Did you have the same thing done to the passenger side?

O RLY? Did you do this yourself? If so, you have a larger issue. WHY would you do that? Doing that would be much more work than necessary, so that doesn't make sense.

If you didn't install the escutcheon yourself, then please confirm by popping the escutcheon off.

The passenger side doesn't have a key "hole" to begin with. There's no where to put a key in under the passenger side escutcheon...

Your other alternative is to ask a friend to go buy you a new battery...

i have a battery charger at home but just need to get in the car, i tried to get in with a coat hanger for about an hour but didnt have any luck. guess i'll just have to call a lock smith to open it for me...

i didnt know you could just buy the cover for the keyhole
