Re: rsx types vs g35c auto
at my workplace we have about .5 mile straight road going into the parking lot. after work a bunch of us would take turn and go quick runs. A fellow co worker of mine had a "soup Up" rsk type s, basic mod exhaust, intake, headers. my 6mt G smoked. according to him, he was about 1 and a half car length behind. when I started to pull away. oh yeah my G was stock. and come to think of it. I think my stock exhaust was louder then his aftermarket. go figures.

The Hondata chip mod plus intake and exhaust is crazy! I heard it brings the RSX Type S times to the low 14's.
That being said .. You should man-handle most RSX's out there. Try having a low RPM race too haha, just for kicks. Those things don't even move under 6k RPM.

Re: rsx types vs g35c auto
I thought of this thread while driving to work today. Saw an RSX. CF hood. It was coming up on my left. As it did, I spotted a nice little intercooler inside the front bumper. Probably not something I would be able to beat. If it wasn't for the graphics the car would have looked nice. That and I'm not a big fan of the CF hoods. Be careful of what's out there. My Turbo 240sx was a sleeper and I caught many cars way off gaurd. Including several Z and G owners.
As far as FWD, yes, they have a disadvantage at the launch, but a good driver can pull off a pretty good launch. And I never was a fan of race manipulations. Keeping a race short or going from a rolling start is chicken sh*t. I'm more of a fan or race what the situation deems. When I used to go to the drag races, I'd leave everything in the car. I could care less what taking out a spare and my sub would do. I wanna know how fast my car really is they way I drive it everyday. I don't even plan ahead with gas. Whatever I have in the ank is fine with me. I've even filled up right before a race. It's all in good fun. Win or lose. If you decide to take it up on the streets, be careful. Winning isn't everything. Jeopardizing you, the other person and other drivers on the road is not worth a win. It's not like you actually get a prize or money. Blah whatever, *preach mode off.*

Re: rsx types vs g35c auto
Raced afterwork last night it was 12am a couple of other guys came by to see as well as we went to a place where there not much cars and almost nobody there. My friend seemed very confident I keep thinking I have 280hp so I should take him. So we lined up 0to120 I put the car in mm and turn off the vdc and revved till about 1500 and off we went 1st gear I jumped to the lead about 1car but in 2nd quickly he caught up and was ahead by 1car till about 90 when I finally caught up to him and past him at about 115 or so. After the race he said I won by maybe 1/2 car because of the better top end. He then told me he runs 14.3s at the tracks all day and was surprised I won
