I always thought this mount stuck the RD too much in your face. I like it in the left bottom corner of the dash...where a shift light would go

If you mount the radar detector in the bottom left of the windshield, you're severely limiting the signal strength of the radar detector! Having it mounted under the rear view mirror, I have found, that I have approximately 1.5 to 2 miles to slow down before visual confirmation!
