dealer refused to sell the carS.

it was in march this year tha i posted a thread about buying a 07 new g35 coupe. this is the story. my local dealer has 4 brand new 07 g35 coupes, i wanted to buy the black on black loaded auto tran, sticker is 41k, i checked it, its worth 28k, i was going to offer like 26k, but they not willing to sell under invoice, my friends were looking for new cars too, so i told my friends , lets all buy the g coupe from them (thinking we will get a good deal). we were seriously going to buy 3 brand new 07 g coupes from them. their first offer for the 3 cars were like 29k 31k 35k, theres no way we going to buy the cars over there invoice prices, i felt bad to tell them tha, but they had the cars in there lot for like 2 yrs, the value of the cars dont worth like new. so i offered them 22k 24 25k tax included. he went in ask the manager and came out saying he want some realistic numbers. basically he wont sell these cars close to what i offered, i really liked to get the car, so i offered again 23k 25k 26k, he shook his head. i was the only one doing all the talking cause my 2 friends dont live in town, and the saleperson say we get the best deal once my friends r here and sit down, ready to do businese, in about a week, my friends got here, we were all prepared to do businese, the saleperson was not in, so we talked to the manager. manager went to get the paper stuff and came in the room and said" this is it!" 29k 31k 34k", i asked him y are the prices little higher than what they listed online? he asked if we r willing to buy with the prices listed online, we said " no" he said" we got nothing to talk about" THE END.

sorry about the long story, i wasnt going to write much. anyway, just want to share little story, it was 8 months ago, the number might not b exact. now i think about it, my offers r kind of low. i still like to get a g coupe, used, and this time i want Manual

its a nice that mileage is dirt low but tires probably have flat spots, 2yr oil, all the oil probably drained to the bottom... stale fuel??

Yong, it's crazy trying to deal with a dealership that's had those cars sitting there for 2 years....forget it! Go on line to dealerships within 50 miles of your location and see what they have available and at what price. You might find someone willing to deal....

Sure but these small things are not worth thousands in discounts.

22-24-25 (with taxes!!) are low ball offers for sure. He could get more than that selling to a fellow dealer or at the auction. They prefer to liquidate to other people in the business than to people.

41k is def too high and loaded with low miles should be worth around 28k. My '07 was stickered at 28k but paid 31k after extended warranties and taxes.
