How to avoid too much tire spinning at launch?

oh how i wished they made a hand brake for the AT instead of that damn pedal brake!!!

random... but has anyone ever converted the pedal brake on the g35 AT to a hand brake?

You guys are confusing the **** outta me.

To the guy doing neutral drops; I hope you're under warranty because if you keep that up you're going to completely destroy your transmission. What would you rather replace your brakes? or your whole transmission. Doing a neutral drop will put you in your seat but it will also slow down your launch.

There is no need to use the E-brake... If you do, push in your e-brake with your left foot, release it so it locks then push it in as far as it goes and hold it, rev up then dump it. But there is no need for that.

I understand that far 4DGS. That's why I said I've only done it twice. Anyway, how do deal with this excess spinning? Any ideas?

well besides stop flooring the pedal and turning off the vdc...
i got nothing hahaha

ill try to make a video by tuesday to give you an idea how the sessantas react to abuse LOL

Your tire compound is cold dude, cold tires are very hard/firm and prone to spin easier because they can't squish down and stick. Spin them hard a few times and warm them up then launch, you should get a little better traction. But honestly in almost negative temps you're not going to get anywhere, wait till summer then enjoy stickiness again.

You're going to need winters too btw, proxys will not be fun at all.

That sounds right! I've been thinking about getting new tires next year, too. Any recommendations for a good set of tires with better traction? Thanks

Nitto Invos, hands down best stick tires that are street legal.

Don't know why I didn't mention that earlier, I just assume everyone is from California these days lol

Your issue is three fold, cold tires....hard compound and launching at 3K RPM. Buy tires with a softer compound like 4DGS recommended and warm them up before launching. If you're still breaking loose at 3K RPMs try launching at a lower RPM. Every car is different, you just need to find what will work with your set up....practice but beware of breaking parts with your AT.
