"Black" Friday...

Just wanted to share my upset with you guys here on the forum...

My sister and a couple of friends went last year and now this year too to Sawgrass mall in Sunrise, FL at 12AM sharp for Black Friday. We had to park REALLY far away, in a parking lot for a soon to be opened liquor store and an Ashley Furniture and that was mistake number one. Mistake number two was not parking near the main street in bright light. I KNOW... I'm an owner of a 05 ivory pearl coupe with the 19" rims and, to top it off, just last month I took the time to paint the spokes black.

When I got back to the car, around 3:30AM, I opened the door, opened the trunk (my key FOB doesn't work so I had to do this through the inside), put my bargains in the trunk, my amigo put his in too, he opened his door. Then I went back to get something out of my trunk when my friend looked at the ground and said "Oh look, a lug nut! Oh, here's another! Oh, ****...... is this a joke?" My car was on bricks... I hadn't even noticed.

Sucks. I've painted my grill black, have 12% tint, and have blacked out tail lights. I've also debadged the car with the exception of the Mt. Fuji, which I painted black. With those mods in mind, any suggestion for rims would be appreciated. I've got a couple things in mind:
  • Black spoke rims with white lip, like before
  • Gold spoke rims with maybe a white lip
  • Whatever you guys think. Any pics would be great.

I'm not sure if I'm even going to get nice, new rims because, while the insurance might pay for it, the rates may go up so I might just get cheap rims to keep from getting an increased rate. Either way the help is appreciated. Thanks

damn sorry to hear that.. You can definitely pick up a set of OEM coupe 17s,18s or 19s on the forum for relatively cheap. Theres a ton of deals on aftermarket wheels also in the marketplace. I'd recommend lurking there for a while since you'll find a killer deal sooner or later on the perfect wheels. No need to pay for new ones Good luck with everything!

Holy cow really? I assumed wheel locks pretty much eliminated theft... at least unprofessional theft. Damn.. might start getting paranoid about my 19's now. Did they mess up the bolts in the process?

bad things about black friday sales are the lines, crowds and finding safe parking from people dinging your car "/

Dude that sucks. Insurance will pay for it under comprehensive if you have it. Just have to pay your deductible.

lol read up on it, lug nuts are only a small deterrent if someone wants your wheels they will be gone.

sorry to hear op, i would just pay the deductible and get some wheels you like or pick up some oem's on here for cheap.

I really hate hearing this kinda news, you'd think a large mall complex would have security to keep this kinda b.s. from happening. My wife makes fun of me because I drive around until I find "just the right spot." You can find some really good wheel deals here on our MARKETPLACE, make sure you verify offsets and condition before you lay down the $! Invest in a motion sensor or after market alarm so this doesn't happen again....G/L

It will get better....!

Check this out, there's a guy on G35 Frenzy selling a set of IForged rims 19X9F & 19X10R with Bridgestones 245/35X19F and 275/35X19R for $1800 polished with black faces. They came off a 350Z so they should fit your G.

Wow sorry to hear about that. I was paranoid about my rims when I first got them, but eventually they went away. My G survived Black Friday with no dents or anything (Thank god) Parked far away, but as you know the parking lots fill up quick. However, my car gets sidesweeped today on the way to work :{

Insurance is getting me a new set of m45 rims. I still have to pay the deductable when I had nice rims before, but looking at the glass half full I'm getting a great bargain on new rims and tires.
