I Should BE BEATEN WITH A STICK!

So I was on they way to the bus station to pick up my sister from out of town. As i was passing some car i over reved my car in 3 it felt like the gas was cut till i shifted to 4 and got scared and pulled over. I check every thing twice and she seemed fine. Should i be looking at anything in particular or should i get it check out. Its been driving well with no problems or noises but i am cautious to step on it till i get more info.

How high did you rev it to?

Doing that once is not going to really do a thing unless you revved it to like 15K. If you had done damage, you'd probably know by now though.

Even then, one time wouldn't have hurt to much.

If it's driving fine now, don't worry about it. If it transforms into a giant alien robot and starts **** with you. Take pics.

Unless he downshifted... that's pretty much the only way you can overrev one of our cars, unless you have the rev limiter removed via ECU hack.

I think its a fail safe in our ECU that keeps it from over revving. I.E. Rev Limiter. My AT does it also when i rev to high and shift to late it lags like theres no power then slowly brings my revs up back.

Your car will blow up next time you drive it..

On a side note I did a little burn out and bounced off the limited for a good 5-7 seconds last night.. Tranny wouldn't shift into 2nd gear after until I turned the car back off and on. It was weird.

When I first got the car with 300 total miles on it (barely breaking it in), I accidentally hold down the gas pedal instead of break when I started the car one night. The rev max out...hahahhah. Scared the sh*t out of me. Car is still running fine though.
