Passenger Seat Recline Switch

Hi I'm a new owner of an 05 G35 coupe. My passenger seat will recline back but will not come back forward. I understand it may be a bad switch. When I tried ordering the part without my VIN I was told switch cost about $200 but the VIN is needed to order the part. When I gave VIN I was then told that switch is not available and I have to order a new Seat?? ($3000) Can anyone tell me if the switch is standard or if a switch from another year will fit. THX

mine does the same, but reclines only when playing with the button. My buddy has a fix for it and said its a easy diy.

that happen to me on the driver seat.. thank God the car is this underwarranty.. cuz the dealer told me they had to replace the motor and i was like.. cool.. cuz i thought it was one motor, but if u have 2 motors on the passenger seat.. forward/back and recline/incline. They seal it as a set you just can't buy one motor
