Dyno'd my car today...I'm happy!

I took my coupe for the first time to my local dyno. I put down 240whp with 219lb-ft of torque. My only mods are test pipes, Skunk2 Spacer, K&N Drop-in and the stock resonator was swapped out for a magnaflow one. That's it.

My previous Sedan had headers, testpipes, skunk2 spacer, K&N Drop-in, And a custom mandrel bent 2.5"exhaust and it put out 242whp on this same dyno in near identical conditions. Interesting.

Oh...and I did 3 runs and two were 239whp and the last 240whp...how's that for consistency? LOL.

Keep in mind that his car is an auto-tranny so it's going to lose more power in delivery to the wheels than the same year 6MT.

I'm sorry but that number is pretty sad, stock I think is at 236 to the wheels, don't know about AT but shouldn't be too far off.

There's nothing sad about those numbers Jason. My car put down 265-ish bone-stock. That doesn't mean it [was] faster than any other stock revup. Different dyno's yield different results, that's all.

Most of you people are comparing it to 6mt's which will put a good amount more power due to less drivetrain loss.

FWIW, the sedan I used to own put down 206whp stock. So I'm most definitely happy with 240whp.

Your car put 16whp more with a tune, exhaust, cai...all of which I don't have. Of course you're going to get more hp than me...you also spent 3 times what I did.

That would be about 220whp on a 5AT.

get rid of the skunk spacer and get a motordyne spacer and you yield better results

Do you think it would be enough to offset what I'd have to pay?

spacer can be picked up cheap used or 200 new, then sell your skunk spacer.

How much more could it possibly give me though? I just have a tough time believing that a small difference in spacer thickness will make a noticeable difference in power.
