I paid somewhere around $400 this year. Cali registration fee is 1.15% of the current value of the vehicle. Older the car, less it's worth, less you pay for registration.

I got a buddy with an 08 M6 that got nailed for ~$1300. That's a spendy little sticker.

The only positive is no smog check required until the car is 6 years old.

lol sorry that's not what I meant. I did end up doing that after the fact. I was just saying, it's a good idea for a free sticker but I was just messing around haha

Why would anyone steal or purchase stolen stickers?

Everything is automated now a days. Most patrol vehicles have 2 mounted cameras that scan plates and if ur plate isn't registered it will automatically flag your car and notify the officer.

Illegals have nothing to do with the mess we're in. Blame it on Arnold. He originally ran blaming Gray Davis for the mess we were in. Arnold said he would NEVER raise registration fee.

Looks like he delayed it just to get the votes.

people DO and WILL steal stickers. ive personally have had it happen in past experiences. now everytime i put a new 1 on i get a razor and cut it diagonally both ways slanting \ / so that if they rip it off they get 1/30th of the sticker.

Its not racist...its fact. There's no color when it comes to illegal immigration. People from many different countries come into our state to work because we let them.

FTMFW. Automobile magazine had an article breaking down which state is the worse for car owners. Guess who came out to be the worse?

There's a lot more to blame than the illegals. Try looking at your Democratic run government for starters.
One of the reasons why I left was because I got sick and tired of being surrounded by idiots. I did my part and voted for the fiscal conservatives, but the tax and spend socialists continued to win and control the state.

Exactly. No one said anything about race. Illegals come from everywhere. It's the attitude that any discussion about illegal aliens as being racist that keeps the issue from being properly addressed.

i think a lot of you guys are very lucky. I am in the UK. we have Road tax that is based on emmissions, i am paying about $750 a year for that, then a yearly inspection that is about $90 plus insurance. that has gone up because of thieving scum so is now about £1200 a year even though i have a clean licence and made no claims. plus we are now expected to pay about$6 a gallon of fuel. getting too expensive these days to drive anything with some power!
