Talking Just got my MD 5/16 spacer and Z-tube Stillen intake!!

Well after lots of research and going through the forums on intakes and plenum spacers, i finally went with the 5/16 Motordyne Copper Iso thermal plenum spacer and got the Z-tube with Stillen intake. I wanna give big props to Infiniti of Riverside for hooking me up! Now my G really pulls when i floor it and sounds soo damn sexy!! Especially after 3000 RPM. I'll post up pics of the set up asap!!

At your level, the next bang for your buck is to add an HR Y pipe! The two go hand in hand.

That's the order in which I installed my mods and couldn't have been happier. After that...HFCs but that's a different convo for another day

Great Choices

Great choice of first mods! I've had five exhaust systems on my coupe and getting an aftermarket y-pipe is worthless when compared to a full cat-back system....been there! If you want a good exhaust and can't afford a new system check our MARKETPLACE, there's always a member demoding his G. In good shape it should cost you 1/2 the price of new....

I'm going borla, I want dem two pipes, and rather the H pipe, and rather not spend 2k on hks. Forget the Y pipe, geeeyyy. But to each their own.

Well I wouldn't say geyyyy....it all depends on what people want out of their car.

When I had the stock exhaust, I LOOVED the sound of it. So much it was hard for me to even accept anything the sounded different. The order of which I upgraded my components reflected this. For me the HR Y pipe plus, ztube & Plenum spacer upgrades helped me retain that stock sound I loved and even amplified it some more for me exactly where I wanted the sound to be (maybe 10-15% louder???)

Eventually I came across a sweet deal for the Fast Intentions exhaust I have now and jumped on it. At first I didn't like it and thought it was way too loud for my taste with my Berk HFCs.

After some time, I got used to it and came to respect both exhausts for what they are and sound like. Each one is unique in its own way with the advantage to the FI true dual since it actually has some power gains over the stock exhaust

Nismo is by far the closest to stock sound but louder. Borla has a deeper growl, and I want something a little more beast than exotic. But you will start to lose the stock sound with HFCs/straight pipes and headers.

My FI HFC amplified the stock growl and didn't change the tone. Not sure about test pipes i just know they make it loud as hell. Isn't it when you change the Y pipe that the stock tone changes?
