How to paint my stock grill?

I have 06 black coupe with the stock grill on it. I want to paint it black leaving the Mt. Fuji chrome. I heard theres a few ways to do it and I just want to paint over it. I just dont feel like sanding and all that. Whats the best way to paint it? Is there paint where it wont chip off?

Lazy much? Geez. The "best" way is the proper way, which includes sanding and priming before paint.

Dude, it would take less than 15 min to sand it down.

Please don't be lazy and 'cheap out' on your car. You bought a classy car, take care of it the right way and it will take care of you.

I know of no paint that will stick to smooth chromed plastic very well and/or last long. Sand it lightly to ruff up surface. That's all it needs for primer to stick well and then paint will last.

I use Duplicolor Bumper Coating for all the grilles I've done. It has a flex agent in it which helps prevent it from chipping.
