Talking GOT MY G!!!!! Swwwweet!

Hello everyone! So thankful to God that I got my G35 just the way I wanted it. 03 6 speed Coupe with premium pkg. So my first tread is actually to find out more about the car I'm driving...I've read a bunch of reviews before I bought the car, but nothing, no engineer, pro driver or whatever can give me a better feedback than you guys. So here are some questions I wanted to get out of the way.

1- What are the common problems on this car?

2- Is it ok to run it on cheap gas? (insurance mad expensive, trying to save $$$)

3- What was the very first problem you guys had on your car?

THanks Guys...

Sure you can put cheap gas in, if you want to replace your engine and the car to die.

oh wait... no, you need to put premium in. I suggest from a good gas station to. Sunoco Shell etc.

Windows suck on your car, if they still work cool! But the motors MAY need replacing. Compression rods in the front end also are common to go. Easy fix though, you'll know when the front end starts creaking.

Welcome to the forum, as per forum rules; Post a pic of your car, if you're a chick, post pic of you, if you're a guy, post pic of your lady friend.

Don't skimp. Put 93 or just use premium. Its better for the car. Put up some pics and we can help you from there.

Welcome!

Window motor and door lock actuators are the most common things to die.

Seems like there a lot of new G owners from Florida lately.

the problems I had, (i emphasize on I, because mines salvaged, so you might not have this problem)

my car makes weird noises every now and then.
my car gets horrible gas mileage, so i have to drive like a grandma. (17-18 mpg)
the tires arent very strong.
the paint has glossy spots, but you can only see it at a certain angle where the sun is shining on it.
Thats about it.

BUT

the good things
it runs great, makes a great noise, well equipped, great acceleration, you get all the looks, comfortable, luxurious, GREAT CAR.

Johnton, shop around bro. I got mine at an auction for 9.500, its got 85k milles but the car is in perfect condition. I almost bought a red 05, 51k miles for 13.5k from a autotrader seller... The only reason i didnt is because i wanted 6speed... The kid is still selling it, let me know if you need the link.

I've had mine for like about a year or so only problem I had was my window motor started to act up. But there was a diy to clean the motor and after 1-2hrs of cleaning the motor with alcohol it's working perfectly again so I didn't have to buy new motor. Overall I love my G I get compliments from time to time.

Weird thing, just went to Firestone (cuz I had a coupon) to have some work done, like oil change, cabin ac filter, and tranny fluid flush. They told me they can't change the tranny fluid because the car has 85k miles and can give me some problems if that has never been changed. Plus they said no other place would do it unless is at the dealership or a private mechanic shop...is that so?

I'm confused. Why would a MT have transmission fluid to change?

^ An MT still has fluid, not the same as an AT but it still needs to be done.
