anyone know the difference between the 07 and up 350z hr y pipe and the 05 g35x y pipe? they look identicle minus the mounts? just wondering if the inlet and outlet diameters are any different?

 

They don't look identical. In the HR Y Pipe the two pipes that connect from the cats extend further back before becoming one pipe than the DE Y Pipe (or am I wrong and the g35x y pipe is different from the other DE y pipes).

Supposedly you will get better throttle response. Dyno showed +5hp and +3 torque I believe.

 

ya i read through that post but heres the pic of the pipe off of the g35x so it looks the same the only question is the inlet and outlets?

can you use a g35 coupe midpipe with the hr y pipe or u have to only use a 350z midpipe? when putting on a hr y pipe on a g35 sedan? because i wanna do my set up as "hr y pipe+coupe midpipe+magnaflow muffler"?

 

Coupe mid works fine. The Z mid would require a 6" extension to fit.
