My Coupe Is A Heavy Pig

Here's my useless thread of the day.

I got my coupe weighed when I was at the track.

Street trim. Full interior, half tank of gas.

Obviously, I wasn't in the car. Add 160-ish lbs for myself.

dude - i love this thread the first i have seen some worthwhile info

i have spent a whole summer collecting rim weighs from oem infiniti sources -
finally picked up some 0em 19" rays and found they weight 19lbs one pound heavier than my 19" volks sf - that's useful - don't waste $3k on kranson forged or volks when the oem 19" are about the same weight as these other wannabe oems

Shoulda bought a sedan! haha, kidding.

That really isn't that bad man, have you done any weight reduction at all? Jack and wheel in the trunk? Full size spare? Remove useless junk?

All the OEM tools and spare were in the trunk. I wanted to satisfy my curiosity.

My estimate was 3350. Guess I was wrong.

Still pulled a 13.8 & 13.9 @ 104-105.

I figure I can get mid 13's with a 500lb diet.

The spare, tools, trunk liner etc is like 70lbs. If you gut your trunk completely you can shave almost 100lbs.

The old BMW forum I was on, the guys were so **** they drained washer fluid and took off engine covers and stuff like that haha. Funny stuff.

Depending on how serious you are about weight reduction, you can take out the interior, the carpet, the sound deadening, the power steering, etc.

Also the sunroof and mirror, and getting that plugged up.

Taking all that stuff out, and all of the trunk, and replacing the heavy stock seats, with race seats, you could probably get it down to 300-400lbs.

wtf? wrong thread man, you're really weird, you couldn't get enough of bashing kranson forged wheels on the other thread and praising the oem rays on the other thread so you randomly post this on this thread? i swear you sound like a spam sometimes i don't know why you haven't got banned yet btw i hate to break it to you but the rays 19" are 20lbs front and 21lbs rear, and this is coming from a coupe rays 19" owner. Are you high or somethin?

Damn! Just checked your 60fts..... you have waaay more in that car, then you do now.

2.2s are bad for a RWD car.

You have 13.5 in your car AT LEAST!
