Squeaking Noise from Engine in cold weather?

Recently my '05 G35C is having some loud squeaking noise coming from the engine bay. It only happens in cold weather (below 0c) and seems like it's coming from the drive belt. The car only has 40000 km, I think it's not time for belt replacement yet. Anyone had similar problem before, and info on how to fix it? It is embarassing especially at traffic light stops. Many thanks.

p.s. the squeaking noise goes away in warm weather.

Is it belt squeeling? This is normal. Get the belts replaced with OEM belts. Non-OEM belts tend to squeel in cold conditions and wear much quicker than OEM.

Sounds like a serpentine belt.

There is a "belt like" noise coming from the engine of my 04 Coupe when it is cold. I hear this in my car as well as my girlfriend's 06 G35 sedan. My belts were just changed (OEM), and I have had this noise as long as I can remember. (Purchased car new) I'm assuming it's something else and characteristic of the car and probably not an issue.

Most of us think it's the "Drive Belt" which I agree with. Belts get "Dry" and start to crack, cold weather just makes it worse....thus the noise you're hearing. Have it replaced with a OEM belt, quality counts!

I'd be more concerned with the proper tension of the belts.
