Just wanted to know how many of you have your front windows tinted. They passed the bill that allows for 35% all around or 50 front 30 back. I had limos in the back from before and just put 35% in the front. Those of you who've had em for a while, do cops give you a hard time or they just don't care cuz its a G ?

Just a suggestion that even if a lot of people have it or not, does not make it legal. That being said, most officers who use the window tint device cannot test your front windshield, so unless it's pretty obvious that it's tinted, I wouldn't worry about it. A buddy of mine has his front lightly tinted and he's never received any flack from the cops. You'll need to weigh the balance of if the POTENTIAL of a ticket outweighs the looks/benefit of getting it done.

 

lol I wasn't talking about the windshield..front windows as in the windows next to the driver and passenger.

i just got a ticket for my front tinted with 35% in rockford and a ticket for no front plate on the expressway in rockford il

 

What do you have on your back windows and how much is the ticket?

 

i have limo on my back and the ticket was 75.00

 

I have 35% all the way around with no front plate.

I had it on before the tint law passed and got ticketed 2 days after getting them on, so I removed it.

The day they passed the law, I retinted my front windows, and I have had no issues since.

Cops tail me all the time because of my car but don't really pull me over since I always obey traffic laws (most of the time I should say).

 

I got 35% in the front and 20% in the rear. You can't even tell I have tint in the front though, eh.

I live in Las Vegas and my 2nd car is a Mitsu Eclipse. I have the windshield tinted on that with limo all the way around. I have never been pulled over even though windshield tint is illegal here. We need tint here because it's so hot during the summer months. Perhaps thats why I have never had it questioned. I grew up in Illinois and the cops will stop you there for breathing while driving!

I have 35% on back 3 windows.. Looks like I will be adding that to the fronts as well ASAP!!

I had 20% all around on my last car before the law was passed and the fine was $25, got about 8 tickets within a few years...

When the fine was bumped to $250 there was no way I was going to tint the fronts on my G, the cops a ruthless where i live...
