Handbrake, VCD & Slip
Handbrake, VCD & Slip
Hi guys,
I have a weird problem with my 2005 G-Coupe without Brembos. When it gets colder outside, my Handbrake light, VCD Off and Slip all turn on and my traction control stops working. When I drive with the car for let's say more than 45 minutes and all components get to reach normal temperatures, they all turn off and my traction control comes back on.
Now, I know that 90% of the times, this means that the brake pads are finished so, I went ahead and knowing that the dealership, back in summer told me my front brake pads were due, bought some Hawks. Today, I looked closer and I still have 1/3 left on my brake pads in front. The back ones tough, are finished
Where it gets sketchy is that my brake fluid level is at half, so if I'm not mistaking, all the lights come on only when the level is low, indicating finished pads?
So I have no idea, what is wrong? I know my pads are done in the back, so I'll go ahead and replace them, but is it really the problem? At what level of fluid does it turn on the lights? Less than half? or at low? What else could it be?
Thanks

We don't have pad sensors ( not that I know of for the sedans). are you leaking any fluids? the fluid should turn on at half. try putting in more fluid and disconnect, then reconnect your battery.
